NOTES TO THE PARENTS DURING QUALIFYING ROUNDS (QR)
Please be positive around the archer the day before and the day of a Qualifying Round. Archery is 90% mental and if the archer is upset or worried he/she will not be able to perform very well on the QR.
-try to have the archer get a good night sleep
-get archery equipment set-out ready to go
-get clothes ready
-have a healthy breakfast
-allow plenty of time to arrive at the range at least 15 minutes early
Upon arrival at the range let the archer set-up their bow and prepare for the QR. You may sit down on the bench and watch. We want all parents to be behind the bow rack and please be quiet. If you would like to converse, please stand outside or there is a coffee shop a couple of blocks down the road. It is very important for the archers to focus and not get distracted from loud conversation or laughing.
If the archer has a problem with equipment, they need to leave the shooting line and ask for assistance from the class Instructor. If we are not able to solve a problem, we will ask the parent to help their child.
You may call, email or arrive early to class to ask an Instructor questions/concerns. When we have interruptions during class it is a distraction and takes time away from the archers.
Thank you for supporting your archer!
